Natural Daily Look ->tightline is the trick

This is my 2nd post. In the past few weeks I received quite a lot lovely feedback from my dear #bbloggers =) as well as my first 4 followers! Thank you all!
Weatther is getting warmer and warmer, so I decide to post a fresh daily look.

I took photos from different directions, so you can see it seems a "no makeup look" (well apart from mascara=P)  but my eyes still look dark as though I had my eyeliner on.

The trick is "tightline"
Tightline still confuses a lot of people, when I told my friend I just tightlined my eyes she went like "What did you mean tightline? Does it hurts?" lol well answer is no it doesn't hurt at all, and it is well simple.

The tightline technique is to apply eyeliner right INTO your lashline, put in other words, is to fill in the gap between your eyelashes with your eyeliner.
Remember do not hit the sensitive waterline ->thant will cause tearing!

So what product can be used for tightline? answer is anything you'd use as eyeliner! ( you can even use eyebrow pencil!) Personally I don't really like to use liquid eyeliner, they are harder to control and liquid are easy get into eyes. My favourite is eyeliner gel +a small stiff angled brush, it is super easy to control, and gel is quite unlikely to smudge!

No matter what you use, try avoid anything glittering! Those little glitter may irratate your eyes!

For this look I used:

  1. Maybelline Expert Wear Blusher No.77 Rose. This is a lovely matte peachy color, my big love at the moment!
  2. For my eyes, I only used bight eyeshadow to brighten up the inner corner of my eyes(bourjois eyeshadow 08), then layers of Volume Million Lashes mascara. This is such a good mascara, it adds volume to even short lashes without clumps! I will do a review on this soon!
  3. To keep this look natural, I didn't use anything on my lips. If you not comfortable with leaving your lips "naked", any natural color will do.

Do you like the look? What do you think about this look? Have you tried any of the products?
Please let me know your opinions by leaving a comment below!
Thanks!

My First Blog! Bright lips--> Like a Wild Orchid

My First Blog Entry!

When I first started blogging(is this the correct word? =p), it was like...3 or 4 years ago. Windows Live Space was so "in" by that time! Shame it wasn't quite a user friendly product so I got tired of it in the end.
In the past few years, I had my up and down; I lost, I fought, I fell and I learned; the most important is,I am living in my life, with this peaceful feeling inside of me. These experiance changed the way I dress, talk, think, and live. So I decide to write down these change, and share them with people who love their life and appreciate all the beautiful things around them. I will be blog about lifestyle, beauty, and food. I hope you <3 it!

oops I only have 15minutes left, Pony Up!! (have to go prepare my espanol exam!)

OK... I got this Revlon lipstick for long. This one is called Wild Orchid (No.457). I have to say this is one of my favourite lipstick. This gives you a lovely saturated fuschia color with subtle blue pearly cast in it. I have brown eyes, I feel this one could make my eye color pop!

Texture of this lipstick is just lovely! Silky, yet so creamy. It is also highly pigmented, 2 layers of color will give you just the right coverage. When I go travel or decide to stay in library all night, I always carry this with me: spread little of this lipcolor on back of your hand, mix with a little bit foundation then you will have the sweet cheekcolor, which matches your lipcolor perfectly!  Since my eyelids swell badly after late night so I never tried this color on my eyes; but you can also give it a shot, just remember to keep it subtle to give you the fresh& feminine look.

Cheek&lips: 457 Wild Orchid by Revlon. A dab of No.34Rose Tentation eyeshadow byBourjois on the cheek, to give a floral glow.
Eyes: No.34Rose Tentation eyeshadow byBourjois along the lower lashline, then lightly blend out. All these can be done with your fingertips =)  Only tiny bit of 08 Bourjois (sorry can't find the name anymore=( )over upper lid to balance the look.To get a natural look I didn't use eyeliner, however you can tightline your eyes if you wish.
Mascara: I decided try out my new L'Oreal4D lash architect, but it turns out sooo clumppy! So I left it on my upper lash on my left eye and used my clinique High Length for the rest.

To achieve this look, you need to focus on lip color, and rest makeup need to be kept to minimum.
Get a foundation with natural or dewy coverage may also help.
Remember to use a liquid or creamy textured foundation if you use liquid or creamy textured blusher.
Dare to take the risk? Try it on back of your hand first!

This is the fresh& feminine  wild orchid look! I hope you all like it!
